Yocto OE gumstix-console-image build to MMC boot

Trung Hoang
Now that I am using the Yocto Project tools with OE, I can successfully build the gumstix-console-image.

However, when i follow http://www.gumstix.org/create-a-bootable-microsd-card.html there are files which are not named the same.

Hi Trung,

You can first try with the files here - http://cumulus.gumstix.org/images/angstrom/developer/yocto/
If that works, something else is wrong.

Let us know!

Hi Trung,

You can first try with the files here - http://cumulus.gumstix.org/images/angstrom/developer/yocto/
If that works, something else is wrong.

Let us know!

Now that I am using the Yocto Project tools with OE, I can successfully build the gumstix-console-image.

However, when i follow http://www.gumstix.org/create-a-bootable-microsd-card.html there are files which are not named the same.

Are you sure you formatted the root partition as ext3 and not ext4?

Looks similar to your error only I don't have any NAND partitions (mtdblocks).

When you plug the SD card into your workstation and it automounts, what does mount say the
filesystem type is?

Ahhh yes it was EX4.

Formatting to ext3 made it work.
