Patch kernel to support duovero

Panayiotis Mousouliotis
Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a way to patch a specific kernel (other than the 3.6) to support the duovero.

Is there a straightforward way to achieve this?

Thank you for your time,
Panayiotis

Hi Panayiotis,
You can try to 'cherry-pick' the commits from the 3.6 branch to the kernel you would like to use.

Regards,

Adam

Re: Patch kernel to support duovero

Panayiotis Mousouliotis
Thank you very much Adam!

If for example I want to use the TI's 3.4 kernel, I must go to the gumstix's 3.6 kernel and pull all the commits related to the duovero's support?

Thank you again for your time,
Panayiotis

Re: Patch kernel to support duovero

Yup that's the idea!
It may take a couple try. I suggest compile and test the kernel between 2~3 cherry-picks rather than blindingly merging all commits at once . That way if a specific commit breaks the kernel, you will know.

Let me know!
