I2C read problem

Hi! I'm working on a project where I have 2 Overo Fire COMs mounted on Gallop43. I have a need to access the accelerometer on the Gallop43. On one of the board it works like a charm and but on the other it doesn't detect anything on the I2C bus.

The output when I run I2Cdetect on the bus where the accelerometer is supposed to be located is the following:

I've been looking for a solution for a couple of days but I haven't found any.
When I boot the board up gives the following messages which makes me suspect that the I2C bus isn't working properly:
...
I2C read: I/O error
I2C read: I/O error
...

On the board I have the factory installed environment to which i haven't made any changes to and i have tried with booting it up from a sdcard with a newer image but there was no change.

Do you think i can solve this somehow? Or is the only conclusion I can draw that the board is broken?

Swap the Overo & Gallop43 and try again?? (^^)

Thanks!
That had a much easier solution than i expected. :)
After swapping the Overos back and forth the i2c bus seems to be working.
I guess there was some kind of problem with the connection between the Overo and the Gallop.
